When my high school friend Carol Fuller and I graduated from Chino High back in 1952 (we recently had our 50th class reunion), I never imagined life would take her to Jojoba Hills. Carol lives there, is retired, travels from one end of the world to another and taught school for many years. Oh, yes, we both ran for Homecoming Queen at Chaffey College at different years and she went on to UCLA from there. I went to Hollywood and dabbled in films - but always being cautious as I came from a large family of 12 and my parents were very strict. I ended up in Law & Banking by day and appeared in Community Theatre by night. The last play I wrote, directed and produced took place in 2000. Anyway, more about Carol Fuller Scandura who a few months ago took me through a tour of Jojoba Hills as she is a permanent member there. What a wonderful relaxing place. Carol deserves a resort like Jojoba. Because my friend is out there, I decided to buy an 18-acre spread in Aguanga. Why? because I was raised in the country and rode horses out in Chino. Carol's folks owned a chicken ranch in Chino and another girlfriend of mine from Chaffey College lived with her family at the Rex Ellsworth Ranch where they trained horses. Remember "Swaps" the champion race horse? I was there! Carol, thanks for showing me Jojoba Hills. My husband and I wish you all the happiness and good luck in the world (and that's exactly what you have now). I'll be seeing you in Jojoba Hills hopefully next week. God take care of you.
